No event is made up: each one traces back to a public source.
Each layoff links to the press reports, filings or announcements it came from. Open any event to see all of its coverage.
Imports keep only rows with a company, a date and a numeric headcount. No headcount, no event. Nothing is estimated or synthesized.
Anyone can submit a layoff with a press link. It stays private until an admin has checked it against its sources.
274 approved events across 223 companies, from these origins.

Layoff Map research
Tech layoffs of every cause that we research ourselves. Each event lists the articles it was read from.
Every figure comes from a linked article; nothing is estimated.
Each submission names a company, a date, a headcount and at least one press link.
An AI assistant reads the linked articles and notes whether they back up the numbers, and flags likely duplicates.
An admin reviews the evidence, corrects details if needed, and approves or rejects. Nothing is published automatically from an unknown site.
Every event page lists its sources. If a number or date looks wrong, submit the layoff again with a link that shows the correct figure and we will review it.
