Boysy Reduces Organization by 20% to Focus on AI-Driven Innovations | Stefan Batory posted on the topic | LinkedIn
Today I shared the difficult news with the Booksy team that we’re reducing our organization by approximately 20%. Below is the message I’ve shared with the team internally, but I also wanted to add a few thoughts about the decision. The individuals leaving Booksy are talented, dedicated and integral to Booksy’s journey to date – thank you to each of you for your contributions to Booksy’s journey. Being able to work towards our AI-first vision for years to come means making tough decisions now about the focus and structure we need to achieve our goals. Today’s decisions will let Booksy continue to innovate and invest to uplift our community of providers around the world. ——— I am writing with difficult news today. We have made the decision to reduce the size of Booksy’s organization by approximately 20%, which translates to about 200 impacted roles across every business area and market. The leadership team and I don’t take these decisions lightly. Talented people will be leaving Booksy, and we will have to say goodbye to colleagues we appreciate deeply. The process will be specific to location and team, and we are providing as much support as we can to each individual. We are making these changes to strengthen the Booksy of tomorrow, as we fulfill our mission to power the businesses behind every booking. We are accelerating new ways of working and adopting AI-driven innovations that help us better serve our customers. The changes today will restructure Booksy’s teams to reflect this focused approach, driven by simplification and enabled by technology. What’s changing and why Every decision we make is grounded in mission: powering the businesses behind every booking. City by city, around the world, Booksy helps more than 346,000 beauty and wellness providers in more than 50 countries run their businesses and connect with their clients. But building a healthy market in each city takes time and focus. To ensure Booksy continues to prioritize the needs of our providers we are: deepening our focus on core markets, increasing our investment in self-service tools, and expediting how we adapt to AI change. Making these changes now allows us to develop a 2027 plan that matches our ambitions for Booksy’s future and continue growing our global community. What happens next We know that every decision made in this process isn’t just a name on paper. It’s personal to the individual departing, and to their teams that remain. Thank you to each and every one of you for your commitment to our community. You’ve helped to make Booksy what it is today, and we’re all immensely grateful for your contributions. During this period of transition, please extend compassion and care to each other. Together, I know that we can continue to forge the path forward for Booksy.
